As artists we put a tremendous amount of pressure on ourselves to succeed and perform at our best, even when we’re at our worst. The entertainment industry also places an impossibly high standard to perform with the threat that you are replaceable at any point and time, and that inescapable feeling of constant anxiety and pressure is what compelled me to write Big Break.
As much as I love creating art for the screen and collaborating with so many talented crafts people, the reality is that all too often we are pushed or push ourselves to the breaking point, just to perform, mental and physical health be damned.
