Where they came from
One gives a filmmaker money and a year. The other gives them a prompt and a weekend. Both are AGBO’s, and both are how these films were first seen.
The Forum
A grant program run by AGBO with the Italian Sons and Daughters of America. It funds short films about the Italian American experience, and the finished films screen as the Forum’s Official Selection.
The Fest
AGBO’s 48-hour filmmaking competition. A prompt is announced, and filmmakers anywhere in the world have two days to write, shoot and cut a film of three minutes or less. Thousands enter, from more than sixty countries.
The programs are AGBO’s. The films belong to the people who made them, and PREVO licenses each one directly from its filmmaker. Every credit on this page is the one its program gave it.
The films
Funded by a grant and made over a year. Longer, quieter and about where a family came from.

Watch on PREVOAfter the laurels
A short gets its moment at the program that chose it, and then it needs somewhere to be found. PREVO is a streaming service built for independent short film: every film chosen by our team, every filmmaker paid, every film with its own page, on the web and in the apps.
Forum & Fest
The Russo Brothers Italian American Filmmaker Forum and No Sleep ’til Film Fest are programs of AGBO. The Official Selection laurels are AGBO’s and appear here for the films they were awarded to. Each film is licensed to PREVO by its filmmaker.
