We screen every film before it reaches the catalogue, which means that if you see a film on PREVO, it is here for a reason. No festival record of any kind is required, and it has no bearing on whether a film is accepted, but the vast majority of our films have already screened at festivals and found a loving, in-person audience. Our goal is to make sure they keep generating the love they deserve.

New films premiere every Thursday, year-round. Sometimes that is one film, sometimes it is five or more. The number changes. The standard does not.

Most of the catalogue runs between five and fifteen minutes, but we have no runtime requirements of any kind. We even have a handful of features and series on the platform.

In Hollywood, when a producer gives feedback on a film, that process is called giving notes. You can do exactly that on PREVO, and we pass the best ones along to the teams behind the films.

In practice, it looks like leaving a comment in the box underneath any film. Notes is just our term for it. Your feedback can be positive or negative, and as specific or as general as you like. All we ask is that you keep it respectful.

Every competitive element of PREVO is designed with one intention in mind: to make sure films and their filmmakers walk away with real evidence behind them. It is why we only select some films for competition. It is why the winners are chosen by juries made up of people who work in Hollywood and watch films get greenlit every day. And it is why you have to pay to vote.

Anyone can generate thousands of flimsy votes with no real weight behind them. By limiting voting to paying subscribers, we make sure every vote cast comes from someone who can watch all of the competing films, and who is invested in the outcome, even if that investment is only the price of their subscription.

Our weekly digital magazine, covering the most interesting, weirdest, and most dramatic stories coming out of Hollywood. Depending on the issue, any given week might cover the latest at the box office, the behind-the-scenes story of how a lost Orson Welles film was painstakingly reconstructed, or a guest column from a director.

Whatever the issue, the goal is always the same: give you something you can take with you, whether that is to the set of your next film or to a dinner party.

PREVO was founded by Ryder McNeal and Colt Waller, both of whom went to film school and watched it happen up close: classmates and peers made incredible short films, saw real success and won awards on the festival circuit, and then watched those same award-winning films end up sitting on a hard drive with nowhere to go once the festival run was over. They founded PREVO to solve that problem.
