The first look
How this happened
Most short films play a few festivals and then sit on a hard drive. Alexander Beale sent us a four-minute horror short. It found an audience here, and this summer we co-financed and produced the sequel he had been dreaming of.
December 2025
Midnight Movie Club premieres on PREVO. Four and a half minutes in the iconic Gardena Cinema. The Ticket-Taker makes his first appearance.
Spring 2026
Members watch it, leave Notes under it and keep it on the PREVO Ten for weeks. Clips from it pass 150,000 views on Instagram.
August 16, 2026
Roll A01, scene 130, take one. Alexander Beale directs again, Auto-C produces again, and PREVO finances it.
August 30, 2026
PREVO announces the first film it has ever financed: Midnight Movie Club II.
October 13, 2026
Collider premieres the first look: four stills, two from behind the scenes, and the premise. This time the Ticket-Taker is loose in a Hollywood costume warehouse after closing.
October 18, 2026
