How they made it
Streets, neighborhoods and locations all over New York, shot in four days.
An Angénieux Optimo zoom, inspired by Succession. It never once came off the camera.

Every audition location in the film is The Barrow Group in New York, where Alexander studied directing and met the entire cast.
A nod to Frances Ha. The DP shot it standing up through a car sunroof while the producer drove down 38th and 36th Streets, two of Midtown’s busiest.
The guy in the back is director Alexander Hagani.
The station manager who says “the dog’s gotta go in the bag” is the film’s production designer. Between takes, tourists kept asking the station manager for directions.
A real southbound R at 8 AM on a Saturday, ridden into Brooklyn with the camera rolling. Nobody on board batted an eye.
L’Industrie Pizzeria, shot one morning as they prepped to open. By the time the crew wrapped, the line was already down the block.
