The story
When her grandmother is hospitalized in what appears to be a robbery-gone-wrong, a Chinese-American woman returns home to San Francisco’s Chinatown only to find that an ancient, sinister evil may be haunting her family.
Its name is jiangshi: a vampire-like creature that takes the form of a reanimated corpse to drain the life force of its victims.
